###### Laser diffraction measures light scattered by dispersed particles to estimate particle size distributions.

## **About the technique**

Laser diffraction is widely used for characterization of mineral powders and other particulate materials. Results are commonly expressed as volume-based distributions, including D10, D50 and D90 values.

Sample dispersion and the chosen analytical settings can influence results. Confirm compatibility with the laboratory before sending samples.
