Mining Engineering Career Fair 2026 – Thank You for a Fantastic Event!

Career Fair

On March 6, 2026, we were thrilled to welcome students, faculty, and industry partners to the Mining Engineering Career Fair, held alongside the APSC First Year Program Fair. The Earth Sciences Building Atrium was buzzing with energy as students explored career paths in mining, asked questions, and made new connections.

We’d like to extend a warm thank you to all firstyear students who stopped by, whether you arrived already interested in Mining Engineering or discovered the field for the first time. Your curiosity and great questions made the event truly engaging.

A big thankyou also goes to our current Mining Engineering students who shared their experiences with courses, coops, and student life. Your insights help future engineers picture themselves in the program.

We were equally delighted to meet those who stumbled upon the event, grabbed some pizza, and left with new ideas about the many exciting directions a mining career can take, from sustainability and innovation to design, consulting, operations, and technology.

Special Thanks to Our Industry Partners

We are deeply grateful to the companies who joined us and made this event possible. Thank you for taking the time to speak with our students and showcase the wide range of opportunities in the mining sector:

  • B2Gold
  • Lundin Group
  • Hatch
  • Fuse Advisors
  • SRK Consulting
  • Taseko Mines
  • Skeena Resources
  • Fluor
  • BBA Consultants

Your presence and support play an essential role in helping students connect classroom learning with realworld career paths.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back next year and to seeing many of you join the Mining Engineering program in the future!
