Michael is a water resources engineer specializing in mine water and waste (tailings) management for the mining industry. His 15 years experience in mining environmental consulting spans six continents and in a diverse range of geographic, hydrologic, geologic and cultural settings. His specialization includes development and implementation of risk-informed mine water and waste management design strategies for mining projects from the scoping and initial permitting stages through to construction, operation and post-closure, with a focus on sustainable mine closure planning and climate change adaptation.
