Biography
Dr. Tony Diering has more than 35 years of experience in mining software and is a pioneer of innovative, block and sub-level caving technologies.
Tony started with SRK in 1978, then with Gemcom ever since. Gemcom become the GEOVIA brand of Dassault Systemes.
In October 2005, Tony was appointed Adjunct Professor by the University of British Columbia’s Mining Engineering Department. In 2015, Tony was inducted into the Mining Software section of the International Mining Technology Hall of Fame
Tony has been involved with dozens of caving related projects over the years with most of the major mining companies involved with block and sub-level caving.
