UBC Mining students win back to back titles at Canadian Mining Games

This year, UBC secured a back-to-back victory after winning the 35th Annual Canadian Mining Games held at Université Laval!

The team of 16 was thrown into 27 different mining-related challenges that simulate problems which occur in actual work environments. Despite the tight competition and time-constrained environment, team members efficiently delivered quality mine designs, process flowsheets, and economic analysis as well as demonstrating benchmark standards in mine rescue and equipment handling. The team has shown incredible dedication and is proud to have achieved for the department and defend UBC's championship title across the top mining schools in Canada.
