Biography

Shervin Teymouri is a mining engineer and entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience in the design, evaluation, and development of base, precious, and industrial metals projects. He is the CEO and Principal Mining Engineer of Mineit Consulting Inc., a Vancouver consultancy registered with Engineers and Geoscientists BC. As a Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101, he has prepared and reviewed technical reports, economic assessments, and due diligence studies for producers, developers, and investors in Canada and abroad. He is also a co-founder and the President and CEO of Red Paramount Iron Ltd., an iron ore development company.

His practice spans the full project cycle, from scoping and preliminary economic assessments through prefeasibility and feasibility studies to mine construction, commissioning, and operation. He has directed mine designs for both underground and open pit projects, and has held lead engineering and operations roles in British Columbia and Yukon with responsibilities covering mine development, reclamation, and tailings management. On the financial side, his work in mining economics and project finance includes capital and operating cost estimation, financial modelling and valuation, and the structuring of studies to support financing decisions. Much of his current practice concerns strategic mine planning and the alignment of mine design with the financial objectives of the project and its investors.

Mr. Teymouri has taught at the Norman B. Keevil Institute of Mining Engineering since 2013, lecturing in underground and open pit mining and design at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He chairs the CIM Underground Mining Society, has served as a mining advisor and speaker to the Yukon First Nations Chamber of Commerce, and sits on the boards of several private and public mining companies.
